Throughout Kensington Palace’s State Apartments and Piggott Galleries we staged largest historic and contemporary fashion exhibition ever seen at the Palace, showcasing over 200 objects from court suits to ball gowns and from shoes to jewellery.

The exhibition highlighted the parallels between today’s red carpet mega-events and the Georgian Royal Court in the 18th century. Historic costume from the 18th century is displayed alongside contemporary couture worn by celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Lizzo, providing a fascinating comparison between the fashion of the Georgian Court and the modern red carpet. We worked collaboratively with Emmy award-winning producer Joseph Bennett to celebrate the diversity and creativity of red carpet fashion preparation and styling required for attendance at important public events and the subtle messages clothing can convey

Our typeface choice was modern with a huge range of glyphs allowing each use of the title to vary and move. The design featured on the website, complex signage, through out the palace, object labelling and shop merchandise.
